As the former National Pickleball Director of Life Time, David designed training curriculum for the nation’s largest network of pickleball facilities and teaching professionals, influencing the way the sport is taught and experienced across the country. On the competitive stage, he has earned prestigious honors as a U.S. Open Silver Medalist at the 5.0 level and a U.S. Nationals Bronze Medalist, and today he continues to compete at the professional level.

David’s deep knowledge of paddle technology, performance trends, and pickleball business development uniquely positions him at the forefront of the sport’s growth. Yet, his greatest strength lies in his coaching. A ten-time All-American swimmer, Sydney knows firsthand the discipline, grit, and drive it takes to perform at the highest level. That same competitive spirit carried over to her pickleball journey, where she quickly rose through the ranks and earned a world singles ranking of #15 early in her career.

Along the way, Sydney has had the opportunity to train and teach alongside some of the top touring professionals in the game, including Lea Jansen and AJ Koeller. Learning from and competing with the best has shaped her approach—not just in how she plays, but in how she coaches. Her ability to break down complex mechanics, paired with her energy and passion for the game, makes her an inspiring and approachable teacher for players of all levels.

Lawrence is a three-time U.S. Open Medalist, three-time National Medalist, collegiate athlete, and a true Minnesota pickleball legend. Beyond his achievements on the court, he is also a devoted father and a powerful example of resilience and perseverance. His journey from Liberia to the United States is both inspiring and unmatched, a story of determination that continues to motivate those around him.

As a coach, Lawrence brings a unique perspective shaped by his non-racquet sport background, which allows him to connect with players in ways many professionals cannot. His style is direct, practical, and effective, with just the right touch of technical detail to help athletes unlock new levels in their game.
